There are 9 different Tournament Staff roles needed every year to support our tournament.   If you are interested in any of these roles please contact our tournament director or email . 

Brief descriptions are provided below.

  1. Tournament Director & Assistant Director:Manages overall tournament strategy from registering teams and determining brackets to recruiting volunteers, securing gym space and managing the tournament budget

  2. Tournament Site Director(s): General management of a site being utilized for the tournament, including resolving any issues, working with concession leaders, and serving as point of contact for refs and medical professionals.  There is one site director identified for each facility used during the tournament

  3. Tournament Volunteer Coordinator Committee: Organize all volunteer related activities, including communication plans, tourneyville management and volunteer sign up (generally requires 2-3 people)

  4. Tournament Concessions Coordinator: Manages concession inventory and determines meal plan for concessions, distribute equipment, manage Concession Site Leaders, assist in preparing and delivering food, serve customers, and train volunteers

  5. Site Concession Lead(s): Manage all the concessions activity at assigned site, including opening & closing concessions for the day, preparing and serving food, training volunteer and serving customers.  One Concession Lead is identified for each facility used during the tournament

  6. Site Score General(s): Ensure each court and game is prepared for score keeping and clock management with the necessary volunteers and supplies, also record game scores to web and posters.  One Score General is identified for each facility used during the tournament

  7. Tournament Trophy Coordinator: Manage the labeling and sorting of trophies and t-shirts; as well as delivering trophies to all appropriate locations

  8. Tournament Banker: Collect and manage money from site concessions and deposit in bank

  9. Delivery Coordinator: Deliver equipment and supplies needed  to sites pre-tournament, collect and return all items post tournament, also advise the Delivery/Runner volunteers throughout the tournament

In addition to our tournament staff, we also have the need for many volunteers during our tournament weekend.  As a tournament staff member your assistance is appreciated in recruiting for these volunteer positions as well as training and managing volunteers the weekend of the tournament. Our main volunteer roles include:

  • Concessions: Prepare food, serve customers, accept payments, make change, handle money
  • Score Keeper/Time Clock: Manage game clock, keep score on scoreboard, sweep floors between games
  • Setup/Cleanup: Organize seating, tables, set up score clocks, sweep floors, general clean-up of area
  • Floater: Support the Site Director & Concession Lead in all duties, this might include food deliveries, running time clocks, helping with  concessions or setup/cleanup
  • Food Runner/ Delivery / Stock:assisting the Tournament Concession Lead with deliveries of  items from  different locations/gyms; expect to make several trips during your shift
